Only one of California’s senators is retarded. The other one voted against telco immunity. That would be in contrast to North Carolina, which has two republican senators who /both/ voted for it.In other words, to use your stupid logic, you’re twice as dumb as me.
Sorry dude, I am afraid you are mistaken. The Yea and Nay in question 69-29-2 was for the Dodd Amendment. The Amendment was for striking the telcom retroactive community provision in the bill. That means the amendment will remove the immunity. So a Nay against the amendment means you are FOR immunity. A YEA to the amendment means you don’t want telcom to have immunity.I am soooooo very disappointed in the democrats who sided with the republicans on this issue. They should all change their party affiliation to “Corporation”
A human answered after a couple rings. I asked why my senator voted to keep retroactive immunity, and I received a canned but earnest explanation.Basically, the telcos were acting under the auspices of protection from the executive branch. There was mention of civil liberties and I kindly explained that I did not see how warrantless wiretapping protected my civil liberties.I said that I very much disapproved of the decision. The human on the other end took my county of residence and assured me he would relay the message to the senator.
Found this while researching this. truly sorry about the prisonplanet link, but the washington post only covered the initial story, not the ‘it’s not actually illegal’ story.
You’re totally right. I pasted it from a site that had it swapped - the list above is fixed now. Here’s a link to the list on the Senate site. Sons a bitches.
Yet again, another conservative fuck-you to America that I can’t believe isn’t being done by MY senator in KS, and I’m not hearing about from Brownback. what’s going on?

That’s what I think of every time I see their site
Too complicated for the average redditor, needs filtering sorry

They, posted the list backwards from the actual vote for the bill.
THANK YOU FOR THIS LIST!

hmm maybe he should reenact the reenactment again
Durbin and Obama actually did something right for a change. I was so tired of apologizing for Illinois senators.
