Celebrity Dish: Irish Soda Bread
Makes one 8-inch round loaf
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Stir the flour, baking soda and salt together in a medium bowl. Add the buttermilk and stir with a fork until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minutes.
The dough should be soft and sticky.
Shape the dough into a 6-inch disk and place in a greased pie pan.
Cut a and "X" across the top of the dough, about 1/2-inch deep.
Place the pan in the center or the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes, until the bread is golden brown.
Transfer to a rack and cool completely.
Serve immediately or wrap in a damp towel until ready to serve.
Bread is good the the day, but does not keep well overnight - it will turn hard as a rock.

Actually, the majority of police officers that I have personally interacted with in my town are about as reasonable as this guy.

Nope, not sarcasm. I have friends that became cops, and they were actually all boy scouts as kids. Don’t know what happened with me though…

You’re not confusing the virility of a meme with the medium that it propagates through?The Mr Splashy Pants meme was aided and abetted by the mainstream media… at least some of which were attempting a snear at Greenpeace. Which backfired fairly spectacularly I think.

Once again, in the small world of Reddit where Obama=God and Cops=bad and Hillary=Satan, any evidence to the contrary is viewed as a surprising exception.a. I wouldn’t judge this cop based on a 20 second clip.b. There are tens of thousands like him, who are simply not on tape. Will you make all of them Reddit celebrities?

If this guy receives, within a matter of days, a bunch of phone calls thanking him for his gracious behavior, I can’t see him being anything but pleasantly surprised.
