Clover School District Auditorium
The U.S. Army Field Band of Washington will perform in concert at 3 p.m. March 30 at the Clover School District Auditorium. There is no admission charge, and the concert is open to the public.Along with the Soldiers’ Chorus, which was founded in 1957, this 65-member concert band presents a diverse program of marches, overtures, popular music, patriotic selections and instrumental and vocal solos.

Kershaw Elementary School
Students entering kindergarten 2008-09 at Kershaw Elementary are invited to apply for the Discovery Cluster class.
An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. March 26 in the school cafeteria. Applications will be available. The deadline to apply is April 14.
If more than 20 applications are received, a lottery system will be used to determine class assignment.

Northwestern High Senior High
The Northwestern High Senior Jazz Ensemble and Clinic Jazz Band each earned all superior ratings March 8 at the State Jazz Festival at Newberry College.Also, Chris Mitchell and Sommer Moya-Mendez were recognized as outstanding soloists for their performances.
Chris Mitchell, Jason Piers and Laney Mauldin also performed as members of the S.C. All-State Jazz Bands. — Connie Grant
