In her video, Mrs. Walsh-Smith angrily and tearfully details her grievances against her husband. (Youtube.com)
NEW YORK (AP) - We’re the YouTube generation, living in the YouTube era, in a YouTube world. Now we apparently have a YouTube divorce.
Some prominent New York divorce lawyers couldn’t think of another case in which a spouse — in this instance, the wife of a major Broadway theater operator — had taken to the popular Web site to spill the secrets of a marriage in an apparent effort to gain leverage and humiliate the other side.
“This is absolutely a new step, and I think it’s scary,” says Bonnie Rabin, a divorce lawyer who has handled high-profile cases. “People used to worry about getting on Page Six,” the gossip page of the New York Post. “But this? It brings the concept of humiliation to a whole new level.”
In a tearful and furious YouTube video with close to 150,000 hits to date, former actress and playwright (”Bonkers”) Tricia Walsh-Smith lashes out against her husband, Philip Smith, president of the Shubert Organization, the largest theater owner on Broadway.
She goes through their wedding album on camera, describing family members as “bad,” “evil” or “nasty,” and talks about how her husband reportedly is trying to evict her from their luxury apartment. She also makes embarrassing claims regarding their intimate life — and then calls his office on camera to repeat those claims to a stunned assistant.
Famed divorce attorney Raoul Felder, called for comment on the video, terms the whole thing “funny, but there’s also sadness. This is a victim who is holding her head up. I think she comes off well.”
Then again, Mr. Felder is representing Mrs. Walsh-Smith — though he wasn’t when she made the YouTube video.
As for Mr. Smith, his office said he had no comment. His lawyers said they didn’t, either — “other than that we’re kind of appalled.”

When Coors Amphitheatre opened 10 years ago, its 19,442 capacity instantly established the sprawling Chula Vista site as the largest outdoor venue for live music in San Diego County – and beyond. That's still the case for the venue, which on Thursday was renamed Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre. But the fiercely competitive concert industry is undergoing a shift to smaller venues that could see such mega-venues working hard to maintain their dominance.
“Every year our grosses go up, every year the average ticket price goes up, and every year less people go to shows,” said Nick Masters, president of the Southern California division of Live Nation, which acquired the Coors venue here in 2006 after it bought out the rival House of Blues chain.
“We did over 20 shows at Coors last year and it will probably be about the same this year, and we have some superstar acts that are almost on the level of The Police that we'll be announcing soon. So, we're not cutting back drastically, but we're not looking to add concerts just because they are available.”

PCs for Five C’s
Back in the day, we ran a regular feature dubbed Grand Openings in which we toured vendors’ Web sites to see how much PC you could buy on a $1,000 budget. These days, of course, spending a grand gets you a fairly formidable desktop or not-half-bad notebook: With the merest glance at BestBuy.com, we found Core 2 Quad Q6600 desktops with 3GB of RAM and 500GB hard drives from both Dell and Gateway, plus 17-inch HP and 15.4-inch Toshiba laptops with Turion 64 X2 processors and a 14.1-inch, Core 2 Duo-based Dell in our choice of seven colors.
Clearly, our price ceiling had to fall to make the search at all interesting. Last spring we took a crack at comparison shopping with $750 to spend, but it wasn’t as much fun as Grand Openings used to be. We missed the challenge of making decisions, the shopping experience of having a gunman leap out of an alley and shout, “All right, punk — faster CPU or more memory? Answer in five, four, three, two …”
The answer was obvious: $500 is the new $1,000.
Of course a $500 price tag isn’t unprecedented. For a couple of years or more, retail superstores have offered consumers $500 desktops suitable for use as a family’s second or third PC. These days, several vendors stock $199 Linux systems ready to be the family’s fifth or sixth.
But can half a grand buy a PC you’ll feed good about buying? The first item on our checklist and/or wish list was a dual-core processor — and believe us, if you weren’t familiar with the 65-nanometer-process, entry-level Pentium Dual-Core chip that Intel quietly slipped into its lineup below the Core 2 Duo last year, you will be after five minutes shopping for $500 PCs.
We also kept an eye out for PCI Express x16 slots to allow upgrading from low-priced desktops’ integrated graphics, and — hardest to find in this price range — 2GB instead of 1GB of memory, to shift Windows Vista from Park to Drive. Unless otherwise mentioned, every system we eyed came with a DVD±RW burner, with WiFi standard equipment on laptops.

French, a lifelong liberal Democrat whose mother campaigned for John F. Kennedy, says Obama has energized an entire new generation of voters who previously felt left out of politics.
“He has excited so many people,” said French, who founded Twisted Sister in 1973. “He has given sincere hope to people who have been out of the arena for years.”
French plays guitar on the track, which features Paulie Z., the singer for the band Z02, on vocals and lead guitar. They call the band “Jay Jay French and Friends” and stress that it is not a Twisted Sister project; that band’s members are split on who to support in the election.
The Obama camp had no immediate comment on the song.
It’s not the first ode to Obama from the rock world. Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has recorded and released two music videos extolling the virtues of Obama, “Yes We Can,” a viral sensation that has garnered more than 5 million hits on YouTube.com, and the more recent “We Are The Ones.”
French said an accompanying video will soon be released on YouTube, and hopes the song will someday be played at Obama rallies, where Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed And Delivered” currently reigns.

I don’t think it’s a gay-for-pay scenario.
There are reports that James has had a very troubled upbringing and is struggling in life; most likely he’s gay. I find it interesting that no mainstream media has picked up on the fact that he’s done gay porn. Yet, the "retard" comment made by fellow house guest Adam, were quick to draw some media attention.
Adam, who apparently worked for an autism foundation, was discussing what he would do if he won Big Brother this season and said that he’d put some of the money towards opening a hair salon for people with disabilities, "…so retards can get it together and get their hair done." This comment upset the group Autism United.
The gossip site TMZ reported that John Gilmore, Executive Director of Autism United sent a letter to the CBS Corporation, demanding that action be taken. Reportedly, the group is so angry they want a boycott of the show, urging sponsors Campbell’s Soup, Taco Bell, Geico, Claritin, and McDonald’s to pull out.
Once James is out of the Big Brother house, I’m sure we’ll learn a lot more about him; I suspect that it won’t be the last we see of him in gay porn. I’ve posted about James’ gay porn past on QueerTwoCents.com but please note the pics are NOT suitable for work.
